Ok..im really just venting. As if we aren't broke enough I was at work today and my crown fell off. It doesn't appear damaged so I hope to God it can just be glued back on. I could use some prayers sent my way. I don't have good teeth (.
Hopefully your dentist can clean it up and glue it back on. One time on Vacation mind came off and I crazy glued it back, the dentist had a hard time taking it off only to glue it back on.
Crowns fall off all the time, especially pre-molars on top, which do most of the chewing. I have many crowns myself, and my dentist charges $80 to cement them back into place. I have always been jealous of people who have excellent teeth. That's just how it goes!
The good news...they were able to recement the crown back on
The bad news: it wasn't as cheap as I hoped as they needed to remove some gum tissue that had overgrown in the area (probably what caused it to fall off)....its ouchie, but at least its done!
glad to hear you got it taken care of! If you go to CVS or any other drug store (walgreens, rite aid, etc) they do have emergency kits made specifically for dental issues. It comes with a little packet of cement that you mix (or it can be pre-mixed) just for instances like this. Cost is less than $5 per pack and it usually has 2-4 cement packets in it, and although its not permanent, it will get you through a few days until you can get in to see your dentist. Always worth having on-hand for those just in case moments
