    The $100

    Subject: THE $100

It's a slow day in a little East Texas town. The sun is beating down,
and the streets are deserted. Times are tough, everybody is in debt,
    and everybody lives on credit...

On this particular day a rich tourist from back east is driving
through town. He stops at the motel and lays a $100 bill on the desk
saying he wants to inspect the rooms upstairs in order to pick one to
    spend the night.

As soon as the man walks upstairs, the owner grabs the bill and runs
next door to pay his debt to the butcher.

The butcher takes the $100 and runs down the street to retire his debt
    to the pig farmer.

The pig farmer takes the $100 and heads off to pay his bill at the
supplier of feed and fuel. (farmers co-op)

The guy at the Farmer's Co-op takes the $100 and runs to pay his debt
to the local prostitute, who has also been facing hard times and has
had to offer her "services" on credit.

The hooker rushes to the hotel and pays off her room bill with the hotel
    owner.

The hotel proprietor then places the $100 back on the counter so the
rich traveler will not suspect anything.

At that moment the traveler comes down the stairs, picks up the $100
bill, states that the rooms are not satisfactory, pockets the money,
    and leaves town.

No one produced anything. No one earned anything.

However, the whole town is now out of debt and now looks to the future
    with a lot more optimism.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how the United States Government is
    conducting business today.
In a perfect world every dog has a home, and every home has a dog.

It's also how the government has been conducting business from 200-2008, as well. And even before that. Going even further than vodooeconomics, uh, sorry, Reaganomics.

You won't need to put a date range nor blame anything even close to this on a political party.

This has been going on since the Great Depression. When the promissory note became "as good as gold", we should have known. This story is nothing but a story about credit, and that has nothing to do with any particular party.

It's a cute story, but it never goes to the heart of the matter, by making you believe that no one "performed" under the terms of any agreement. Services were actually rendered or products sold/produced, but they were done on credit. The mere fact that it was paid at a later time, does not render the initial transaction, as non-performing.

Think about it... the hotelier took a loan to pay someone back, and then his debt was finally paid back. He then "repaid" the loan in the end. Sorry, but that's how modern banking works.

The prostitute paid back the hotel owner but he did not get the keep the money so it was the hotel owner that lost the $100. There is no free lunch. The hotel owner never really got paid. This is called velocity of money. Right now the banks are holding the money given to them by the fed. Once they start loaning it it flows through the economy in the form of inflation.
