Euphimisms

I'm really bad at euphimisms. Coming up shortly I will be deposed (no I'm not the one being sued) and I need a few good euphimisms - for 'it is what it is' - as in the person did something really bad and is now trying to cover it up.

the two that come to mind are....

if it smells like a dead fish then it's probably a dead fish....

&

if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck....

See - I told you I'm really bad at them. I'd really love to hear any great and different euphimisms that would help me out.

"A zebra can only hide its stripes for so long..." <-- this might apply to your situation.

"He was slicker than a peeled onion"

"You can hold out your hand and make a wish, and ask for s**t in the other, wait to see which one gets filled first"

The last one is the one I always use with some of my PITA co-workers...lol.
