    Dear President Bush & Congress

I am writing you with my hand out to you. I need only 15k to pay off the remainder of my student debt. If I don't get this money, I don't know what I'm going to do. Times are hard - money is scarce. I'm fine if you want to call it a loan although we both know you'll never make me pay it back.

Please send the check to the below address.

And thanks a bunch! I didn't know all I had to do was ask.

I am so damn sick of all the BS. I say we do away with the good ole' USofA and each state become it's own country. No federal taxes either. Maybe then we'll be better able to control our loser elected officials.

While I sympathize with your thoughts, what we need to do as Americans to fix the Federal Government is pay closer attention to those we elect. Don't just vote for the guy or gal who gets the most ads or throws the most dirt. In fact be skeptical of any candidate whose commercials or statements are nothing more than attacks on their opponent. If that's all they can do to get elected then we don't need them.

We need to stop sending the same people to Washington over and over, these people are not helping us. If your Senator has served more than 12 years or your Representative then its time to remove them through election.

Giving a free education to all Americans probably would have costed significantly less than the current bailouts....

I disagree with you in that I think people do try to pay closer attention to those we elect (for the most part) and the bottom line is what good does it do? Even if they go to DC with good intentions, the greed factor seems to kick in no matter what. I don't know what the solution is but seriously - things are BAD. REALLY BAD.

I agree and disagree with both of you.

I do not believe that the vast majority pay close attention to who is being elected. Many vote along party lines no matter what and many people vote the eenie meenie minie mo method. Too many people don't bother to educate themselves about what's going on around them.

But it does seem ,that the greed factor kicks in no matter what---or who. It has created a constant state of heartbreak. Yes, things are REALLY BAD.
