Books on Budgeting and Financial Planning

Hey All -

Looking for reccommendations on good books about budgeting and financial planning. For instance, is The Idiots Guide to Personal Finance any good? I want to sit down with my husband, read it together and come up with the numbers and a plan together.

ooh i have a recommendation for you:

"PAY IT DOWN!" by Jean Chatzky - i love this lady's approach!

i also have these on the shelf, meaning i read through them a bit at the store and considered them worth buying and reading (but haven't yet):

"Start Late, Finish Rich: A No-Fail Plan For Achieving Financial Freedom At Any Age" by David Bach

"Solve Your Money Troubles" - a NOLO book for regaining financial freedom.

and not necessarily finance oriented, but a good read for those wanting to make changes:

"Small Change" by Susan and Larry Terkel - a positive little book that talks about making small changes and seeing big differences.

Financial Freedom and The Total Money Makeover, both by Dave Ramsey.

Have read both, and try to use many of his principles now.
