I filed BK in December 2013. It was the best thing I ever did. I lost my home through foreclosure in 2009. Had $30k is in CC debt. Had to reaffirm my truck payment and RV through a credit union or I would have been on the street homeless. I was able to get a CC after 1 year and got a mortgage in 2015. I retired in 2018 with a pension, military disability and SS. I have a car payment, a small mortgage payment 2.8%. I also have $57k available CC. I owe $0 on CC because I pay the balance every month. I have learned my lesson and have some savings. I never want to be in debt again. I'm on a 6 year plan to be completely out of debt. I will be 74 then.
