Just got self employed....how do they do the median?

just got a job for a private contractor in the health profession field....

pay is 12 bucks an hour...

will be filing a 1099 at the end of the year....

if i file for bk this summer

do i tell them i make a set amount of $?

Its whatever you made in the 6 months prior to filing whether you're employed, self-employed, unemployed, employed by the mafia, whatever. Compare that number to the state median and see if you automatically qualify for a 7. If you've been unemployed for awhile and haven't been making money, NOW would be the time to file unless you are waiting for balance transfers or credit card usage to age a few months to stay under the fraud radar.
