Partner wants to file Bankruptcy

I have a partnership in a store. We are a 50-50 partner in the store. Now the store is not doing good and my other partner wants to file a Bankruptcy and i do not want to file a Bankruptcy.
Any idea what i should do to prevent any negative effect on my credit?

Are you a corporation? If so, he can file personal BK. Is he wanting to dissolve the business? Has he guaranteed any debts for the business personally that would be wiped out with the bk?
