    Justing wondering about USAA

I am wondering If I stop paying on my USAA credit card if they will cancel my auto insurance with them? I have had insurance with them for over 10 years with no accidents, no tickets.

Eventually, yes. Happened to me. They refused to renew auto & home insurance.
Get mortgage modified: DONE! 7 months of back interest payments amortized, payment reduced over $200/mo
(In the 'planning' stage, to file ch. 13 if/when we have to.)

I read on another board that USAA’s insurance department is separate from their credit department and the two do not talk to each other. This was about 3 years ago and from the above post it sounds like policy may be different today.

I filed chapter 7 two months ago and included USAA CC $8k.

Got insurance renewal last week with minimal rate increase.

We've been with USAA for about 25 years now and just renewed after Ch7 with no increase in premium.

We did have a USAA cc and it had about $5k on it.

We're with USAA and we haven't filed yet, but we're obviously VERY VERY delinquent on payments to them. We're set to have our auto policy renew next month. I am VERY nervous.

I would not loose any sleep over it. There are several insurance companies out there that would love your business that you could switch to.

I had not filed and was only 2 months late on a few payments and my rental insurance jumped 40 percent due to credit scoring! I have no other accounts with USAA that are delinquent. OTOH, my car insurance only went up about 75 dollars but I had forgotten about the 50 bucks they knock off for your first six months.

                Both were renewed.
First consult: You go now, no CH 7 for you. You spent entire buffet. 13 has a 95 percent payback. (Owwwch) On to next consult....

Had USAA insurance for cars, but when credit scores went down, they raised the rate for our car ins quite a bit due to our credit rating...enough to look elsewhere. Then, went to Geico and got the same policy for a couple hundred less per 6 months.
If your FICO is higher than your net worth, THAT is the definition of insanity.
