I am trying to figure out if we will pass the means test to file for Chapter 7 (we are above the median income) My question is for section 23 "Vehicle Ownership or Lease Expense" BTW...we only have one car in which we just refinanced the lease to an ownership... Do I put in a number 1 for that? Or do I put our payment in section 42?? Orrrr both?! And I'm very confused by this whole thing of dividing it by 60? Our loan is for 48 months...I don't get it!! I've switched numbers all around...sometimes we pass, sometimes we don't...just VERY curious as to if we'll make it or not! OH one other thing...the health insurance for section 34, is that what comes out of our checks for the premium? ANY help with this means test would be greatly appreciated!

Why not hire an attorney to figure this out. That is what they do.
If you are above median, that means you make more money annually than 50% of the people living in your state. You CAN afford an attorney to help you figure out the right solution. Maybe its chapter 7, maybe it is something else, but why are you beating your head against the wall and wasting all this time. Focus on the goal, to get out of debt, pay an attorney to figure how best to do it.
