Did I screw up by telling Amex I am filing?

I have been hounded by calls, and we finally met with an atty on tuesday - we are definitely filing, but need to wait until the tax return shows up! Prob wont file until 6/1

So, after we met with her she was saying her clients tell then I am paying my atty, i wont be making anymore payments etc-

So I did, and they asked me what chapter and what county I am in and gave me the name and address phone of the lawyers for amex that deal with bk accounts -

Are they going to try to sue me before i get to filing? They asked me if i have a docket number yet and i told them no we are still getting paperwork together -

Ah! I have been stressing about this all day - they just seemed too friendly, like it was a relief to stop calling me, but maybe it is cause they are out to get me!

This whole thing is gonna make me crazy before it is over.

Don't worry, you didn't screw up!
I found that ALL of my creditors were very pleasant after informing them that I was filing.
Some of them even wished me good luck!
Just tell the rest of your creditors the same information.

I tell all creditors the same since I've attain a BK lawyer which goes something like this:

"You need to call my attorney pertaining to this account. His name is _______ and his phone number is 555-555-5555. The address is __________." If they ask any other questions I tell them that they need to contact my attorney. I don't answer any other question other than the attorney's name, phone number, and address. Only one creditor and one CA was a bit nasty all others were quite considerate.
