I really thought I'd have a hard time getting approved for an apartment because of my credit and bankruptcy not being discharged yet. I filed chapter 7 and had 341 meeting beginning of October. I'm still waiting on the discharge. I own a condo, which I am letting go. Mortgage company has a court date in two and half weeks to lift the stay to proceed with foreclosure. So, I figured I'd go look today and found one who worked with me. The property manager was so nice! Not only did I get one month of free rent, but since I signed a 13 month lease, I got 50% off the second month I don't move until December 15th, so I'm thinking by then I'll know what's up with the foreclosure and will be prepared to get out. I'm really relieved! Bankruptcy is such a daunting task and emotional!! When it's discharged and the condo is foreclosed, I'll be able to breathe! I'm still kind of tense and nervous. But, I do feel better overall.

Apartment rentals are a dime a dozen now. There is so much vacancy, and so many non-payers getting evicted, anyone that wants a good deal on an apartment should be able to find it.All information contained in this post is for informational and amusement purposes only.
Bankruptcy is a process, not an event.......
