It is like a bad dream!

So my husband started a new job today. He is a Dentist and sold his practice last year and we moved to FL so he could semi retire and work for a company. Self employed for 40 years and was sick of it. FL did not work out for us. Made no money down there and our house in Indiana did not sell, so anyway we moved back. He got a job working for this dentist who was "sick" we thought with a injury. Good money and seemed right. Well he started work today. I went and was going to sign up for college. Got a call on my way to my meeting and the dentist he went to work for killed himself while my husband was working in his office. So now my husband is in limbo and back to no job. I feel bad for the other dentist. I also am wondering how in the heck I am going to pay for food this week. So wrong I know. Just one thing after another.

I am so sorry to hear of your run of bad luck. We have been going through 2 yr. of a living nightmare since DH's job loss that has led us to BK also. Each of us here has had things happen to us that were of our control that led us to this destination. All it takes is one major thing to go wrong and it's like a chain reaction that goes on and on. Just knowing I can come here and read all this on the forum, knowing you are not alone is comforting. One way to look at it is, things HAVE to get better, you just have to believe that and they will. With your husband being a dentist, I am sure he will be able to get employed. If this helps, our local newspaper on the front page today, saying the recession has bottomed out and the economy is on the upswing. Hope that's right! Living in a state of gratitude keeps you grounded and prepares you for moving forward. Even though it's hard to do, just think everyday of things that you are grateful for, like, a gorgeous day, your family, your family's good health, even small things, a smile, a compliment, laughter etc. I know living in a state of gratitude is most definately helping me cope with what we are going through and it gives us hope for our future. You are not alone, I truly pray that your situation will start to turn around and that you can be hopeful again for you and your DH's future.

It is sooo sad that people think that is the only way out of their problems. Maybe it can work out for your husband to somehow take over that office/those patients??
I feel badly for you and wish you the best of luck!
