Like an idiot, a few years ago (about 3) I helped my brother to get a CareCredit card because he needed a lot of dental work. I'm not sure of the exact amount, but probably close to $5000 ended up being charged. And then he quickly stopped making payments.
I've been making the payments, but now that I realized we can't really even pay our own bills and bk is looking likely, I'm wondering what's the point of continuing to make payments. Is there one?
The balance is $1900 and the interest is something like 23%. I assume they will go after him first, right? He already has other judgments against him - so that's a lost cause as far as collecting anything. Can they just skip over him and start harassing me? They don't have my phone number at least.
