Getting set for the 341 on Monday afternoon

I have my picture-i.d. & social security card ready.
I have the printed directions to the meeting place.
I have confirmed with my lawyer.

I am feeling so much better since having filed. Those of you who have know what I am talking about. The phone calls have stopped. I have money to pay for other things again. I can think clearer. I have gas in the gas tank and food in the fridge. I am off the anti-depressants and sleeping pills. (And don't have to pay the cost for these pharmaceuticals any longer!)

Will let you all know how it goes. I expect it to go smoothly.
The only concern I have is that I am expecting/hoping that the trustee abandon his interest in the home. My discharge is set for early March and I will not have the cash to pay the bank any arrears until May. Not sure how that will work out.

I had to bring my bank statements showing the actual balance in my accounts as of the filing date to my 341 and I think you and I are in the same district. Unless you have already provided those final statements, you might want to have a copy with you just in case the panel trustee asks for the statements showing account balances as of your filing date.

Leave plenty early so that you will not have to worry about being caught in traffic. Remember to dress conservatively--business casual tends to be the norm. If you have any flashy jewelry or anything like that, leave it at home.

I just returned. My appt time was at 12:30 and I was the second to go.
The entire thing took 4 minutes.
Basically three questions after swearing in:
A. Is this your signature on the filing documents? Is this the last tax return you filed?
B. Do you own or rent?
C. I see the cash value of your insurance policy is $2500 or so, is this correct?

Then, he said, Good Luck to you.

DONE.

Now onto paying the IRS, state, and local municipality. And my divorce attorney (though she was in the BK, I can not not pay her.) . . . but I think I'll think about that after a good nights sleep, tonight.

And yes, once your debts are discharged, and you have a creditor, such as your divorce lawyer, that you wish to go ahead and pay, you can do so.
