    Bottom line, good or bad?

If you have already filed bankruptcy, would you do it over again? Why or why not.

Does it keep you from getting the things that you want with bankruptcy listed on your credit report? Or have you found that you are able to get things easier? I have heard that whatever your credit limit (for instance if you qualified for 30K dollar limits on cc) after a year or two of filing bankruptcy you could get that credit limit again.

I ask because I've never had a credit card that had a limit of more than $500. The only reason I owe more is because of late fees and whatever other fees that added on. So If I filed, I still really wouldn't be able to get much credit even after a couple of years after bankruptcy.

I also am a part time student and I work part time for the moment, but even still, working 24 hours a week, I gross $1152 and I gross over 13K annually. I live at home (moved out here because of divorce), I own a car that is paid for. Trying to get an apartment here if I can find one that will rent to me. If my debt is less than 10K and I make more, would u file?

I think I definitively would have done it again. Bankruptcy relived me of major debt, approximately $25,000 unsecured debt, 2 mortgage payments in a upside down Michigan real estate market, and most of all gave me a chance to stay home with my child while she is young and she really needs me. I lost my job 5 months ago and would have never been able to afford my past lifestyle, a nanny, and so forth... without filing bankruptcy.
Regarding getting new credit, well it feels great paying cash and with due time our credit score and history will improve. I'm treating the next couple of years as a "rehab" period from all the high interest debt which was keeping us down. It's unfortunate that we have to re-learn how to live within our means but it's necessary. American's as a whole live on credit, the whole economy is based on credit.
Good luck to you, you need to look closely at your situation and really thing about it. You will have a hard time finding a job, an apartment, turning on your utilities after bankruptcy BUT you will be relieved of your debt burden that always seems to go nowhere.
