Ex Spouse owes $111k in child support

I’m trying to prep for the 314 meeting. Being honest, my debt got out of hand because it basically became my second income. My kids dad left the kids a year after the divorce and has been dodging the child support order. So from 2014 until now he owes $111k in court ordered child support. He was suppose to pay $1200 to cover arrears, the modified court order amount and medical. How do I explain that briefly and directly in the 314 meeting?

The Trustee may ask if anyone owes you money under a domestic support order (DSO). If it's child support, that money belongs to the children, and is exempt anyhow since it is a court-ordered child support payment.

Having wrote that, I think you explained it just fine here. Ask your attorney to do a mock 341-Meeting with you and get a feel for how to answer that question if it arises.

Always remember, don't start offering information. Answer their questions directly and without going down any rabbit holes. Most are yes or no questions so answer them as they arrive.
