    Nonpayment after discharge

I have a mobile home ,14 years old ,filed chap 7 ,10 years ago did not reaffirm the loan but continued to make payments. There are 5 years left on the note but I have to move out of state.
What bankruptcy protection do I have against law suit for the remainder of the note after reposession if I stop making payments?

You only need to post your message one time. There is simply no need to waste space on this website and peoples' time by going and posting the same message several times.

If you did not reaffirm the debt but continued to pay you technically do not owe the money; however the lender still has the right to their collateral. I would recommend sending the lender a certified letter with a copy of your original Schedule of Debts if you can locate it. If they were listed and you did not sign anything since you should be safe and they cannot file suit or attempt to legally collect the debt. Make sure you indicate in the letter that you were paying voluntarily but are under no obligation. If they persist hire an attorney.
