I received discharge of a CH 7 in November 09. Mortgages were NOT reaffirmed.
First $1065 Month, bal of 163.5K, Last payment was 4/1
Second $41 Month, bal of 12.5K, Last payment was 3/1
Home value, compared to similar sales in area is 125K at most, however home has a mold problem, which would lower the value even more. This being said, the second would be a fool to foreclose, as they would not get a dime.
In any case, I just received a "Notice of Default and Notice of Intent to Foreclose", from the second mortgage holder. What makes me laugh is the following statement. " The amount required to cure the arrears as of 07/17/11 is $163.76."
Really??!! ROFL!! That is just funny.
We have since purchased another home and are currently renovating that home while living in this one rent free. I am not in any hurry to move, as the renovations are taking time. So..I realize high numbers are common on the NOD, so what is the lowest numbers you've seen?
