PNC just dropped off a letter.

So I'm sitting at my computer in the front of the house reading these forums and a black f150 drives by and takes a picture of the house.

Less than 5 mins later he pulls up and comes up to the door asking if I was Mr. X. I Told them I wasn't (said I was dogsitting) and he hands me a letter from PNC Bank(Had a National City card before they bought them out).

All the letter was for was a settlement. 50% of the 14k owed.

Why wouldn't they mail this? And what was up with the dude taking a picture? Anyone else have this happen to them?

He may just have needed proof that he did visit your house in order for him to get paid by PNC for the hand-delivery.

or they are "thinking" they might put a lien on your house....kinda wierd though. If you have any intent on "settling" then start at ~15%. otherwise if you are BK'n then oh well....

Crawf, I wish you well in your situation. I am in a mess of financial troubles on my own and I am trying to figure out how to fix this problem. Yet in answer to your question, since I have been trying to find a job, I have come across a job listing (online) that seems to basically fit the description of what happened to you. See a copy of that ad below. Upon reading the ad, I am not sure what they are looking for, but basically they are requesting that a letter be left and a photo of the site be taken.

Best of all Crawf, you only received a settlement letter and not a summons. So I hope that everything will work out okay for you.
