I read on July 19,2010 that people were being arrested for not paying their credit debt. Could that artical be real. Is it true? Thanks for any knowledge on the subject!!

I wonder how many times this article (and its spinoffs) are going to be posted on these boards....
They were jailed for contempt of court, not for being in debt. They blew off court orders after judgments were placed against them (most likely because they blew off those court papers too.)
Moral of the story: do not blow off any court papers. Ever.First consult: You go now, no CH 7 for you. You spent entire buffet. 13 has a 95 percent payback. (Owwwch) On to next consult....
