Wil changing my phone # speed up lawsuits?

    Good Day folks,

Wife and I are talking about switching our phone number to stop the 50+ phone calls we are getting a day.

Will this speed up lawsuits? Has anyone switched their number to avoid calls?

    Thanks

Nah, I just sent a limited C&D asking not to call. Collection agents have to stop, original creditors do not unless you have state law saying they do. I am getting the slight threats at the six month mark from one, and am about to send another letter asking them to send a contract that they keep mentioning (another letter said they "do not have anything signed by me, our apologies") and exercising my right to arbitration.

I bought a prepaid phone, changed my number on all forms to that. Get random calls to my home phone, but don't answer it if I don't know the number. One credit report lists that as one number, but it also lists three numbers (and several years) ago. Most call the prepaid, where I have my name and number on the VM message....I answer now and again but when annoyed turn the ringer off.

Speed of lawsuits depends on the company mostly: if it is Chase, Amex, Discover or Cap 1 expect a fast one regardless of phone habits.
