I have been updating myself on your threads............. very interesting......

Your interest in this forum is the "how to commit fraud and get by with it" if I file bankruptcy............

Some of the members have already suggested what consequences you will face "if" you do as you are talking about......

Some members brag that have commited fraud "within the bounds of the law"..... and not gotten caught........

When you follow their suggestions and get caught, don't cry because your butt got sent off to a Federal Pen......

I know a lady right now that hide assets from the Trustee................he found them............. and not only was her case dismissed, she got 18 months in the Pen........... FOR FRAUD..............

    Personally,

IF YOU HAD YOUR HEAD ON STRAIGHT............... AND YOUR PRIORITIES STRAIGHT............. you would be considering bankruptcy to help get a new start in life for you and your family...............NOT A NEW SET OF BOOBS.............

This forum will not help or support you in anyway to commit fraud............

Not only is is illegal, it's also unethical.....

The bankruptcy system allows us to keep a great deal of our assets, our homes, autos, personal belongings, 401K's etc....... They could strip us completely and sell it all on the courthouse steps............ but they don't.

And then along comes someone like you and a few others, that WANT a way to commit fraud and file bankruptcy at the same time.......

Will the Court allow it, doubt it............... will a creditor allow it, doubt it......
even if you do wait out the waiting period........ The Trustee can go back as far back as he wants to check into your affairs..... its not just a 6 month period.... though most only go back 6 months or a year.....

When you have big cash advances or purchases on a credit card, they usually demand to know where the money went............ and what for.......

If the creditor doesn't object I'm sure the US Trustee will check into it.....

If your "boob job" is for medical reasons then insurance would cover it, or you could get financial help thru the govt programs. Cosmetic "job" is a pay yourself thing....

Deliberately commiting fraud (theft), and filing bankruptcy (asking creditors to forgive debts) is two different things.....

Honesty plays an important role in our society.......evidently not yours!!!!..

Wow, a little harsh don't you think, I asked a question and in this post and you harshly tell me I want to unquestionably commit fraud. I have never gone to see an attorney. From the sounds of it, you poorly planned your situation, I am sorry for you and the reprocussions that happened. I think I will save any further questions for an attorney on this subject, plus reading between the lines from several other threads and this thread has given a lot of non-verbal communications. For the record, I am going to keep my saggy boobs, it would be dishonest if I had the operation and filed six to nine months later.

Thanks for calling me a piece of crap.

Minny never called you a piece of crap. Don't put words in her mouth(post). She told you the honest truth in a firm, no bs way.

I thought she was nice the way she did it?

Now I belive you're thinking clearly brokemommy. Good thing to hear that you would feel dishonest and you have decided to not go forward. Good for you. You know, if you do decide to file BK and you have your debts wiped out, there is nothing stopping you from saving the money you'll need and having the cosmetic procedure done later on.

As for the last part of your post, I don't recall Minny calling you a piece of crap, but please do not feel that way. I think you just weren't thinking clearly.

          Brokemommy,

Sorry you feel that way - but didn't call you a "peice of crap" - not my style!

If I made you feel like a "peice of crap" - then so be it!! Shoe fits, wear it!

I call things as I see them and your main approach to this forum was to get help and suggestions in getting a boob job (free) at the expense of the creditors and filing bankruptcy to wipe the debt out.......

To you it was OKAY...... no fraud or theft involved.....

To mostl of us its on the verge of fraud and very dishonest!!

Its like teaching a kid it's not okay to steal candy - but okay to steal a car!

Bankruptcy even "forgives" gambling debts...... BUT they do not forgive "vacations", luxury buys, cash stashes, and extreme expenses right before filing bankruptcy at the creditors expense....

When I filed bankruptcy the objective was to get the Court and Creditors to forgive debts I could no longer handle...... which they did..... My intent was not to get them to forgive my debts and screw them over at the same time by creating extra ones.....

Yes, my bankruptcy was and has not been an easy one...... I trusted a lawyer I never should have (one that covered his own ass) instead of working in my best interest..... Plus I got screwed over by a bank, mortgage company, and title company at the same time......

Had my attorney done his job, my bankruptcy would have been a simple Chapter 7, no assets. But he screwed me over.......... and now his and their "payback" will cost them!!

You feel that we have "been unfair" with you regarding your questions.....

We are a support system for people who file bankruptcy..... not a forum for learning techniques on how to "beat the system" - "or screw the creditors"....

If you need our help in filing bankrtupcy.... you have it and our support also....

To help you with suggestons on how to commit fraud, screw the creditors, and "beat the system"...... NOT GOING TO HAPPEN....

                bkbiker,

As usually you show us another side of the bankruptcy discussions.... some of which I whole-heartedly agree with...

I do not feel sorry for the credit card companies, they screw us all over in the end with their high interest rates, their failure to try and work things out with us, forcing us to file bankrutpcy....

And yes the BIG companies like Enron, etc come out smelling like a rose when they file their Chapter 11's......... (though I was real glad to see that several of them got prosecuted and will be doing a little "time" for their actions......)

If brokemommy has her surgery done, waits for year or 18 months, keeps her payments halfway current and then files bankrtupcy.............then the Courts will probably overlook the surgery and grant her a discharge on it..... She and others have had things done, took out cash advances, then waited out the time-span and got everything discharged.

As scammer might say, you can't "play the system" and win, BUT you can plan your bankruptcy and make it work within the laws!!

So more power to brokemommy if she can plan her bankruptcy to include surgery to enlighten her self esteem. Bankruptcy is really hard on the feeling of selfworth................

But she really takes her chances when she attempts this.... it could go either way for her... and could have some bad repercussions in the end.

Nobody is against her, just most of us feel this kind of attitude and reason for filing bankruptcy is unetheical and dishonest.

Everyone has their personal opinions about this....... so there is NO - I'm right, your wrong thing here.

We just want her to be very aware of what can happen if it backfires on her......

I wonder if this thread would be nearly so big if brokemommy had talked about buying something besides new boobies.... or if, say, those new boobies were for reconstruction after mastectomy rather than just because they're sagging. "Ethics" is such a slippery and perspective laden subject.

Now that I got the philosopy out of the way, here's my $.02

brokemommy, short answer, irregardless of the ethics, which you need to figure out on your own.

If you charge the new boobies, you would need to wait probably at least 6 months before filing... and you'd probably also need to keep up on the payments during that time. If you charge them and then go bankrupt without making any payments... regardless of the 6 month delay... the trustee is probably going to cry "foul!". You charge them and then make payments on that card AND your other debt for 6 months... then you'd probably be clear... mind you, I'm not a trustee, but from everything I've read, you'd be OK.

After all, there have been people on here before mention gambling habits, drugs, alcohol etc. Why would boobs be any worse of an expense than any of those?

                  Good luck!

Well, if you have an impending medical situation, you are advised (as in my case) to postpone filing BK so that your bills are before filing.

After spending hours and way too much money yesterday, I have come up with a solution. I'm sick of trying to find 36H bras and spending a fortune on them. Why must I be penalized for the genitics my parents passed on? Anyway, how about I donate half of my problem to brokemommy and then both of us would be happy?
