I applied for an credit card about 3 months ago, before I filed chpt 7, its not listed on any of the reports i ran. i got an acceptance letter yesterday in the mail with a 300.00 limit, the card is supposed to be set in 10 days, What should I do? I read if any new credit comes then ur case may be dismissed... This worries me.Filed: 4/28/06

AGREED, do not charge anything - could cause you to get dismissed..... just lay it back and hang on to it..... maybe they won't cancel it...
It's not listed on your petition so they won't get a notice of BK.....
If they do not cancel it, then after discharge, start using it to rebuild your credit score.Minny

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.

You're not supposed to do it. But many do anyways. If your bk is close to discharge, chances are it won't show on your report until after the discharge. So not very likely the trustees would find out. And if you don't charge anything, then its not new debt so nothing for to be worried about if you don't use it.
