I applied for an credit card about 3 months ago, before I filed chpt 7, its not listed on any of the reports i ran. i got an acceptance letter yesterday in the mail with a 300.00 limit, the card is supposed to be set in 10 days, What should I do? I read if any new credit comes then ur case may be dismissed... This worries me.

I am confused...did you apply for the credit card knowing you would be filing BK because a $300 limit is typically what is offered for people in a post-BK situation?

As long as you don't actually charge anything on that credit card then you should be fine.
          Filed Ch. 7 Pro-Se: 10/12/06
          341: 11/6/06 (went AMAZINGLY well!)
          Discharge: 1/12/07

No I didn't know I was going to file. I just needed one for emergencies.

AGREED, do not charge anything - could cause you to get dismissed..... just lay it back and hang on to it..... maybe they won't cancel it...
It's not listed on your petition so they won't get a notice of BK.....

If they do not cancel it, then after discharge, start using it to rebuild your credit score.

No its not listed at all. It was just approved the other day when I applied for it it said I would hear within 90 days. And I did at the end of the 90 days, 4 days after I filed....Gosh.

You're not supposed to do it. But many do anyways. If your bk is close to discharge, chances are it won't show on your report until after the discharge. So not very likely the trustees would find out. And if you don't charge anything, then its not new debt so nothing for to be worried about if you don't use it.
