    Oh No

I'm over the 60 days but still waiting discharge. Briefly, we were over the means when we filed in July but my wife's illness caused her to stop working (which caused all this mess) which then put us under. But just today we noticed a deposit from social security. No letter yet but she must have been approved for SSDI. Our lawyer told us even though SSDI doesn't count towards the means it does count as disposable income and could force a 13. This is just unbelievable. Nobody gets SSDI the first time... You'd think I'd be happy she got approved but instead I went upstairs and cried. She's only 35, I just want her healthy again. Has a yet undiagnosed autoimmune disease, probably lupus.

You should be okay for your discharge. This has occurred well after you filed, and had your 341. I am so sorry for your wife. You and she are in my prayers....

        Thank you Angelina...

Mrloaf, I hope things work out for you. Like Angelina said, I'm hoping being past my 341 and waiting discharge any day, we can squeak by. What an incredible few days it's been. I thought this was over.

During the 341, the trustee asked if she filed for SSDI and we answered "yes". On Pacer there is a flag that says "Means: Yes". I wonder if she was waiting to find out if my wife got approved. How would she know? This is the same trustee that is going to set aside my mortgage. If she was to do that to my mortgage and force a 13, wonder if I could still keep my house somehow. This would all be fascinating if it wasn't happening to me.
