How often are the IRS Standards changed?

Out of curiosity, how often does the IRS change the standards? Gas is expensive right now as well as food prices....not to mention the rent amount in my area would barely rent a house in the ghetto....anyone know?

Actually I believe the standards are based on IRS data and Census data from what I have read. Although any opportunity to bash Obama should never pass. In fact I am sure it was he who ramrodded the new consumer friendly bankrupt law in to effect during the Bush administration.

As a side note, I believe that some of the standards went DOWN because of the recession and financial crisis of 2008/2009 (and the ongoing mess). median incomes is one area I know went down.

The median income numbers change every 6 months, but the expense standards, I don't know, but I know it is not that often, maybe annually.

Don't get me wrong. Bush and any of them are "one World" advocates. Bush is just Bush, not quite as stupid in the fact that our current government is and has been here for near THREE years and has retarded us into a third world country. That is a fact, prove it otherwise. I am not a Republican but a registered Dem. Am I pleased? No. Am I a Tea Party person? You bet. I want our Country back. I voted for Carter, and now I got 'Bammy. Two of a kinda classed as not in the real World.
