Moving during BK process - will landlord be notified??

    Hi all,
We are getting ready to file the first week of September. We also plan to move to a new rental on Sept. 24. Starting on Sept. 1, we will be outside our current lease (current lease ends Sept. 1, but we are paid until end of Sept.). So technically when we file, we will not be in a lease. We have paid hold money on the new place, but have not yet signed the lease. My concern is that our new landlord would be notified about our filing. Is there any way to avoid this? We live in Florida. I've read on here that some areas require landlords be notified. Both leases required, first, last and a pet deposit (no security deposit).

Thanks for your help and advice!

i am not sure about florida law but in virginia any lease or contract i was entered into or going to be entered into needed to be listed. specifically if i were to sign a new lease before the bankruptcy is to be discharged after it was filed, i had to notify both my attorney and the trustee. i did not enter into anything during that time though.
