Just filed today 7/28/2011
I signed all the papers this afternoon after reviewing them and getting the attorney to correct some things. She was to file electronically this afternoon 3:30 or 4:00 pm.
She said my 341 meeting will be in 30-40 days and I'll get that notice by 8/1/2011.
As soon as I get the case number I plan to do the post-filing course at beadviser($11). I did the pre-filing course at ConsumerBankruptcyCounseling for $5.
What a relief! My husband didn't filing so he'll be credit-worthy. He did get a Parent Plus loan just last week for our son who will be a senior in college in August. Neither of us wants a credit card at all. We plan to pay down our remaining loans as soon as possible and build up savings. I've filed for early Social Security which is scheduled to start in August (please raise the debt ceiling, Congress!). Perhaps I'll get a job again in computers (but I'm not very optimistic--I've been trying for 4+ years).
