I spent my income tax refund of $422 on a combined candle party/cocktail party

Is it okay if I spent my $422 tax refund on a little cocktail party for the guys?
I have receipts for everything. It was the night of the big lotto a couple of weeks ago.

I did have sales of $160, so I did make a profit

I don't think the trustee would object, the vice department might.

The Trustee is not interested in your "personal life with the guys" and neither are WE.............

The Trustee is only interested in your income and expenses, not your fun and games!!

        Be forwarned!!!

good one thanks, I thought it wouldn't be an issue. I have seen so many people have to give there return $$ back. I am filing in two months cause of a bunch of cash advances.

Sorry Minny, but you better check out my civil rights before you warn me. Knock me off and you shall see. Just take a peek for me okay???

Cash advances can and will get you into a lot of trouble with the Trustee...........

If you have large cash advances, you best be waiting at least 180 days before filing bankruptcy.... if you don't want to have to pay them all back in full....

Thanks, I do have large cash advances, the problem is I think I am guilty of doing it with the knowledge I would file. So when am I good?

People who diliberately do cash advances, then file bankruptcy knowing they were going to shortly after the cash advances - the Court considers it Fraud...........

Be prepared to suffer the consequences......

Best suggestion I can give you if your do large cash advances, you best wait at least a year or more before you even THINK about filing BK............. Trustees are not stupid people..........

Are your creditors going to wait for a year or so - probably not..................unless you keep paying them....

If the US Trustee is even the lest curious, he can pull your tax info, income statements, bank statements for the past 5 years -- I've seen them go back 10-20 for documents..... Be prepared....
