Pacer . UST aduit . Presumption of abuse

I looked at the Pacer today and it says Presumption of abuse does not arise .. does that ever change ? how would I know if I will be audited ? I have high debt. low income. I would assume an audit would come from income expenses not in line but I stress about everything. I have waited over a year to file and just want it done. Is there anything I should look for on the Pacer ? Thanks I know I'm a mess

presumption of abuse does not arise...is a "good" thing...if it has risen...then there may have been a reason the trustee thought you had assets...i think you're good to go...

i'm an anti pacer person...it's enough to KILL the nerves...so we just used snail mail and put all the files in the closet...until we rec'd written notice from the court on the 62nd day..

MEANSNO is what you want to see. This won't change unless the trustee found some glaring error in your income or expenses.

Audits are triggered when 'income or expenses deviate from the statistical norm' Of course, the US Trustees office is pretty closed-mouth about what the norms are, but I imagine they are substantially over median income levels. Unless you had to really squeeze and wiggle to get past the means-test, an audit is highly unlikely.

There are random audits, but with the upswing in BKs, the odds of getting a random audit are about the same as winning the lottery.

To give you a frame of reference, in 2009 there were ~150 BK audits in California (both random and over-the-norm) 150 in the entire state of California!!

Thanks guys ... Tons !!! I ran a report from 11/23/2010 to 12/03/2010 in So CA 650 chapter 7's WOW !! I kinda feel better kinda don't but I was just worried about an audit from the amount of debt I have. I have unemployment and no assets so I hope this will be a breeze then off to the 2nd part of my life. Thanks this board is a life saver.
