We bought 2 chairs and it was financed through Wells Fargo. We filed on 09/17. I thought the furniture was unsecured debt because they sent a credit card, and I listed them under unsecured debt. However the paralegal called and stated that they wand us to reafirm the debt at about 2/3's of what we owe and 0% interest.

We want to keep the chairs, without them we would no have other living room furniture.
But I told the paralegal we were not reafirming. She said she would call back and tell me when they were ready pick them up.

Don't reaffirm, they will not come get the chairs.

Think about it, what is Wells Fargo going to do with 2 chairs?

They just want $$ so they try to squeeze some out of you, and if you don't bite they go away.

It costs next to nothing to send out a couple letters, if 1 in 50 debtors go for it, it is profitable.

To actually come get the furniture, they would have to file for relief of stay, do whatever your state laws require b4 repossessing property, then they have to send out a couple guys and a truck.....for 2 used chairs? Not a chance.

Tell the paralegal to shred the letters....

well they just can't take it.......but you can tell them that the baby and dog peed on them a few times and you'd be most happy to have them have the smelly items if they chose. tell them about the big spots on them.....and how you had a professional cleaner come in and can't get the smell out....LOl!! i know it's NOT funny to you. but really...they are so full of it.

don't listen to ONE word...tell them to go take a hike...into the woods and get lost.

tell, me, after you calm down...where the HECK do you think all this used furniture and electronics goes...(best buy has the same contract)....think...and you'll realize they are full of it...BUT NOT before you tell them about the pee...k

And - even if they came and got them, thrift stores usually have a lot of furniture - for a much, much better price. I bought a nice chair for $25 and all I did was clean it (just in case 'the cat or dog pied on it lol) and it serves me nicely.

OMG....PLEASE discourged NO USED furniture my daughter is in charge of BED BUGS for her state...which will remain nameless....i can not and will NOT have you itching all day.......... PLEASE!!!

by the way...i got scolded and lectured for buying some very nice pictures at a thrift store...i still go anyway....i just can't tell her or she will never visit...
