Pay Quarterly Taxes Early Prior to BK Filing in Order to Spend Down Checking Account?

I need to spend down money in my checking account prior to filing Chapter 7. Will most likely file the 1st or 2nd week of August.

Can I pay part of my 3rd Quarter 2010 estimated quarterly taxes with some of the money I need to spend down? Is this an accepted use for spending the funds?

The taxes aren't due until Sept. 15th. I won't have enough to pay all the taxes due in Sept. prior to filing (so would only be sending in a partial payment).

I know that estimated taxes can be paid monthly and you don't have to wait until each quarterly due date. However, I have been paying them quarterly in the past.

Will that raise a red flag if I make one monthly payment now, then go back to quarterly payments in September?

    I'm in Arizona.

Thanks for the help from any one who has had experience with this and/or knows the answer.
