Exemption Question

Are Roth IRA contributions exempted?

I plan to use the federal exemptions so that I can take advantage of the wildcard. I'd like to know if Roth IRA contributions are exempted. If so, is there a restriction on when the contribution must be made in order to be exempt?

Ours were exempt. Not sure what the allowable time line is for making contributions.
