I'm middle district Florida also. I know just from looking at the courts website there are a lot of people filing. My boyfriend has a friend that is currently filed. I know quite a few people filing. Bought there houses back when the houses were selling for insane amounts only to find themselves upside down a few years later.
The real estate boom in my area of Florida. Central East Coast, was insane. People paying 250k for a house that sold for 100k not even two years before and now the price has gone back to 100k if not lower.
From what I've seen, I've yet to file. The courts in my county are backed up.

I was wondering if there was such an "autodischarge" feature on Pacer and now you just answered my question. I just could not imagine every district in every single case manually doing it..that seems a little in the dark ages, though I am not minimizing the seriousness of all this. Maybe the "autodischarge" is used in no asset cases where the trustee has already made the report of no distribution. It seems like nearly every one of the discharges in my area (FL) close on the same day, which makes me wonder if it is somehow computerized.

There's an "autoclose" feature as well. Usually the only reason a case doesn't autodischarge and autoclose, is because of the presence of certain FLAGs on the case.
          Chapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)

Oh that's cool too! I guess the more I thought about it, it just seemed nearly impossible to me that there are people with thousands of files stacked on their desks that all have to get manually entered. It makes sense to me that some would be automatically discharged by some sort of computer software program if they were meanso, had no flags, and the trustee had already reported it as a no distribution/no assets case...it seems the "real" people would have to be involved in the more complicated processes and cases with assets and things they are waiting on (like the trustee to make his or her statement or judgment about dischargeability)
