What does this mean on pacer?

This was added to pacer after our 341 on 3-16-10:
3/17/10 Trustee's Report of First Meeting of Creditors. Adjourned First Meeting to be held on 3/30/2010 at 06:00 PM at Office of U.S.Trustee (The ** Building) (TT name) (Entered: 03/17/2010)

Does this mean there is a second meeting? At our 341 they requested a copy of our lease agreement.. could this be pertaining to that? (We sent it to them the day of the 341) We have not received anything saying that we were to show... I'm confused!

    Thanks for your help!

Yes, they are asking for a second meeting. The Status of a 341 Meeting is either Adjourned (Continued) or Concluded (Completed). You need to figure out why it was adjourned. If you filed through an attorney, you need to send them an email or call them and find out if you need to attend the 3/30 meeting.

If you filed pro se, then you need to contact the Panel Trustee to see what the deal is.

Generally speaking, not having documentation in the Trustee's hands 7 days prior to the 341 Meeting can get your 341 Meeting "continued" to a later date.
    Chapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)
Status: (Auto) Discharged and Closed! 5/10

So what would have happened if we hadnt checked pacer?? This meeting is in 5 days....We hadnt received any notifications!!! Shouldnt have our attorney let us know what was happening instead of us letting him know?? We did send him a email with the pacer attachment tonight. Thank you for your response!!

Sometimes, if the meeting is "adjourned" only your attorney needs to go the 2nd time. The real purpose of the 341 Meeting is to see you face to face, have you, the debtor, present personal identification and proof of SS number, and for creditors to ask you questions under oath. Since you already did that part, you usually don't need to return to a "continued" (adjourned) 341 Meeting when represented by an attorney.

Just ask your attorney if you need to go to the continued meeting. Hopefully s/he clears up any confusion!

I am not a guru like Justbroke, but I believe the advice is right on....I think usually you do not have to appear at the continuation, it is your attorney...now why your attorney has told you nothing is another thing....

This is why I don't care what people say....yes, some of us obsess, but I am going to regularly look at Pacer myself....we have to be our own advocates, folks...these are OUR lives here. Good luck to you!

I hear ya, darlin'. For me it has only been 14 days and it has been crawling slowly by like a sloth....maybe for some people the 60 days "flies by" but I just kinda don't get that. Don't get me wrong, I try to be an optimist, but I am a realist too.......And the reality is it ain't over 'til it is over!!!!! 60 days or bust!!
