We were just discharged of a little over $100k. What a feeling. Spring really is a time for new beginnings. It was around this time last year that we were robbing Peter to pay Paul and living in denial. My interest payments each month were almost as much as I was/am taking home. It took a visit to a credit counselor to give us a reality check that not only could she not help us set up a repayment plan but that we needed to talk with a BK attoney asap. So much anxiety and stress since then but once I was ready to "let it go" it turned out we kept our house, our car, furniture and everything else. Now on to stage 2, "After the discharge". We are definitely feeling empowered living on a cash basis. We thank everyone for the assistance provided on this forum and will try and be of assistance in return.
