Reaffirmation Hearing AFTER discharge?

The reaffirmation agreement for the vehicle was signed and submitted to the courts but because our attorney isn't signing it (doing this without the attorney's help - directly with the car company) they scheduled a reaffirmation hearing. The hearing is scheduled for 2 weeks after the discharge "should" take place (i.e. the discharge should come 60 days after 341 but the reaffirmation hearing is set for 78 days after the 341). How can the reaffirmation hearing take place after the discharge is due? Will they hold up the discharge until after the reaffirmation hearing? Or will the discharge negate the reaffirmation hearing?

Shouldn't affect discharge date, it will however affect closing date.

Your lawyer is probably refusing to sign it because you have negative income, the way the law is written he could be held responsible if he signs it. It is also unlikely the judge will sign it. Many states allow a ride through but not all (like Texas does not) so that might be an option if allowed in your state.
