Wanted to share some general information with the forum about Chase Auto Finance.
I couldn't decide if I wanted to reaffirm my car loan with them or not. My attorney said she doesn't ever sign reaffirmation agreements. I decided to call Chase and see what they thought. I have my own bankruptcy representative there (I felt special). She was SUPER nice. She explained to me the benefit of reaffirmation is that they will report it as current on my credit, whereas if I do a ride-through, they will not report it to the bureaus. I asked if they will repo the car if I decide to do a ride-through (even though the payments are on time) and she said it is not in their best interest to repossess vehicles, so if I decided not to reaffirm, as long as the payments were current, I would be OK.
I was actually quite surprised how friendly she was. In the beginning I was nervous to call, but the result turned out quite well!
