    Electronic Filing in Massachusetts

    Hi,

I'm very confused. I have all of my paperwork organized and planned on printing out the forms today and filling them in. Then I went to the US Bankruptcy site and started reading the Massachusetts rules and it appears that after Dec 1, 2009 everyone has to file electronically. That's fine but when I went to see how it looks like only lawyers can do this.

Do I have this right? After all this work I now have to end up hiring a lawyer to file the paperwork electronically? I'm getting this information from http://www.mab.uscourts.gov/pdfdocuments/LR_12-09.pdf

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated since time is of the essence. I got a court order to appear mid December for a Capital One card that I had. It's small claims court and I need to file before that court date so that I can be free of this mess.

    Thanks so much!

Call the Clerk and ask. I did and found out that you only need to bring one copy of your filing plus the mailing matrix on CD. I believe all districts now require attorneys to file electronically but it doesn't apply to pro se filers.
Filed Ch7 5/28/09 (Pro Se) Orlando, 341 7/01, UST selected case for audit 7/01, Last day for objection 8/31. Audit report filed 9/10, no material misstatements. Discharged and closed 9/22/2009

Ok I'm a spaceshot I guess. I just answered my own questions. In appendix 8, rule 1 states that if you are filing pro se you can file by paper. Thanks hopefully someone else will benefit from this

Thanks! Yes it looks like the matrix definitely needs to be electronic.
