Well, it's finally time to get it done. I'm amazed at how long it's taken to get to this point. I thought I had everything ready to go back in July. I was thinking of filing pro se, but after reviewing the paperwork from my attorney I know there is no way I would have been able to do it correctly.
Looks like we will be an asset case, but we've been able to arrange it so that the only asset not completely covered by exemptions are our cows. If the trustee wants anything he gets to take the cows and pay us the exemption value of $525 per cow. That's a significant loss on them and it would extend the time for discharge, but that's where we're at. Odds are the trustee may not want the cows since he'll have to try to sell them and the market is not exactly booming right now.
Looks like the 341 will be in early December so our discharge will be early in the new year. Here's looking forward to a new year and a new start!
