Ok, all of you just stop. Take a deep breath.
We are adults here. Adults do not always agree with each other. As long as the disagreements are respectful, we tolerate (even encourage) differences of opinions here. It's an open forum.
Bankruptcy is an incredibly stressful time. It's very easy to mis-interpret, over-interpret, see things that aren't really there, and/or feel picked on because all we have to see are words. I know because I've done it too.
We can't see facial expressions, can't hear the tone of voice. We miss all the normal visual and hearing cues we use in real life to figure out if someone is really being disrespectful to us or not.
If you feel another member is being disrespectful - not just disagreeing - with you here, notify the mods with an infraction. We'll go take a look at what's posted with more objectivity than you can. If you are truly being disrespected in a way that violates forum rules, then we'll deal with the members involved behind the scenes. That's why we're here.
The other good approach is to place the member (or members) you find offensive on Ignore.
Honestly, folks.....bankruptcy is hard enough without having these periodic "you said!/no, YOU said!" escalating reply wars between members. One thing for sure - raising the flame level with back-and-forth jabs doesn't stop the bad behavior. This forum is not about emerging triumphant with a scalp dangling from your belt. We're here to help each other, not add to the stress. Let us mods deal with issues you may be having with other members. Accept that we may not agree with you, put the member on Ignore, and move on.
Poking the bear the way it's being done in this thread accomplishes nothing. Step back. Walk away. Put them on Ignore. Notify the mods. End of story.
Continue with these kinds of personally critical back-and-forths and the members involved will start finding themselves on the sidelines not being able to post for a week.
Now let's get back to helping each other survive one of the hardest times of our lives. Nuf' said.....for now.....
