Never thougt I'd complain about extra money.. advice!

We are filing bk because hubbys income is changing to about 1/2 plus commission, but the commission has yet to prove anything. Anyway, they were supposed to change him in Oct.,so we'd have those paystubs to show the lesser income.
Well, they goofed, and are starting him in November. SO, because we are not paying cc's, we have some extra cash.
Lawyer is paid. we need tires, can get all that I understand.

Can we buy a mattress? We are sleeping on an 11 year old one that literally has springs. Can we go buy a reasonably cheap mattress or will that look bad?
    Thanks!
    Filing cpt.7 11/09 341- 1/21/10
    Report of no distribution 1/21/10
Scheduled for discharge 3/22/10 (on my 15th wedding anniversary!)

It is fine to purchase a mattress and use cash toward necessities. Keep in mind at the time of filing to keep balance low as possible in the checking account. Stock up necessities if you have some extra money right now. Keep receipts just in case.

Yes, as ForumReader said you can get your tires, mattress, and necessities. don't forget the soaps, shampoos, paper towels, etc.

You and your spouse might also want to take a $100.00 bill and tuck it away in your wallets and FORGET IT IS THERE! This is for an unexpected emergency like a breakdown on I-26 in the middle of the Smokey Mountains, and the only rescue was a roll-back driver that didn't take plastic or checks. That happened to us this past April.

      Good luck to you.

Look at the gallons of water instead of bottled. You can buy gallons for under a dollar, date code good for several years. I've probably got 100 or so of these tucked away. I get thirsty sometimes.....

Our 341 is on the 27th. We filed on the 8th of Sept. Our banking stmts do not cover the actual filing date until the next month which would would give them the next month after filing. Will they take print out from on line

Yes, they should take print out online bank transactions from your checking account that shows the actual balance on the day of filing. I did that with mine and the trustee accepted them.
