    selling house after chap 7

    a complicated question....
42 days ago my debt was dismissed!! Yea! I own a second home which had a large irs lean on it and I did not try to keep it. I filed as no asset and am waiting for the case to be closed. The mortgage due was almost what the appraisal was for so my bk lawyer doesn't think they will try to sell it. Today I received from the irs a notice that my lien has been removed! I also have a buyer ready who will pay much more than the appraised amount. Here are my questions
1 After discharge, how long does the closing take?
2 After the case is closed, can I sell the house?
3 I have not been making mortgage payments since march and the house has not been foreclosed on yet. Any way to stall a month or so?
4 Anyone recommend a good tax/bankrupcy lawyer in NY that could help with this?
    Thanks

I am in TX, and selling my home. I am due to be discharged any day now. I am an asset case so I do not know when my case will be closed. My lawyer said that if I sold before discharge I had to get court approval first. Once discharged I can do anything I want with my home. The only catch is I have equity in my home and I only have 6 months to invest it back into a new home since it was part of my homstead allowance. If I do not do this, my creditors have the right to get their hands on that money. Hope this helps.
