Chapter 7, questioning whether I am going to have problems or not.

Okay my situation now is that I have one account that went into summary judgement, I fought it as long as I could but the judge made it clear there was no way I was winning. I just received a summons on another account that I am being sued on so I am at a crossroads where I don't want my bank accounts to be frozen because it will really screw up my life.

I am a full time student (18 hours) and I work part time fixing computers under my own name. I don't make enough to cover my expenses each month, but I have student aid that helps shore up the remainder. I filed taxes last year but did not make enough to pay in, and this year I will probably make just barely enough to pay in (probably around $6000 or so). I don't have a W2 as I do this work by myself.

Am I going to have problems filing for bankruptcy since I wasn't required to file taxes the 2 years previous to 2007? I see all of these bankruptcy counselers require 6 months of bill records and 4 years of tax returns.

Secondly I don't have any assets to speak of really, I have 2 computers to do my work on (one mac, one pc), a tv/entertainment system, a camera, some books, and an old car. (a few other things but not really expensive).

I have a NOLO book on chapter 7, but I don't know how easy it is to get screwed when filing. I live in Kansas and my exemptions are these: http://www.bankruptcyinformation.com/KS_exemp.htm

I am afraid if I file chapter 7 they are going to drain anything left in my bank account/cash on hand and I am going to end up homeless/unemployed (I need electricity to do my jobs).

    What should I do?

I have already taken bankruptcy counsel (which showed I am -87k in the hole with student loans included) and got my certificate, I have the NOLO book on Chpt 7.
