Anyone elso have 341 on Tuesday the 22nd....

Hubby and I are nervous. We have not told a single person about the BK and are hoping to slide thru without anyone knowing.

I am embarassed, feel like a failure but at the same time I know this is the only choice we have due to drop in income.

good luck. don't be embarrassed. if bk was the only choice, then it was the right choice. one should never be embarrassed about making the right choice in life!

you are not a failure. for me, filing bk was by far the best decision i have made in at least a decade, and a very successful one too. recognizing that many people do not have the life experience to realize that someone filing bk is not a failure, i too have not told everybody, but i did tell a few family/friends who were extremely supportive and thought it made tons of sense.

As for not wanting anyone to find out, I've been able to hide it so far and today is the final day for objections. My court moves very fast; I would not be surprised if I am discharged and closed tomorrow.

Anyways don't worry about the 341. You will do just fine.

As for not wanting to tell anyone about your BK, I understand. I did not tell anyone about mine (too embarrassed too) and I was discharged a couple of weeks ago. It was the best decision I've made, I spend too long and too much $$$ trying to keep up the min. payments with the credit cards.

My 341 is this afternoon but I wish you all well. I plan to report back after mine, either this evening, or tomorrow for sure.

We met with our attorney a final time to go over last minute stuff on Saturday and she keeps telling me not to be nervous but I can't help it. This is my life and this is a process I have never gone through before. I did get a chance to sit in on some 341s a few weeks ago because the building is next door to where I work so I have some idea of what to expect but still there are butterflies dancing around my stomach now. In some ways I wish I would have taken the day off work but then I would have sat around the house fretting.

We have told plenty of people about our plan to file. We look at this as a personal business decision. You should always do what’s best for you in life.

I guarantee you that Donald Trump isn't at all embarrassed about filing BK 3 times on the same casino in Atlantic City. He looks at it as a business decision.

A guy at work has his tomorrow. I tried to make him nervous, but he seem's like he's ready to go. Solid as a rock in front of me. Prolly scared to death outside of work.

We filed in 96 and not a sole ever knew. The wife's parents are very good with money and they would crap if they found out. None of their business IMO, but for the wife's sake. Hoping some don't find out this time either, but I have told a few guys at work. Kinda helps relieve the stress for me.

My 341 is Wednesday. I am pretty open about filing. I can't find it in myself to feel ashamed that my husband and I have both lost our incomes. I think being open allows others to be open with us as well. We are in Arizona and more likely than not, every person we talk to is in a similar situation.

I had mine today. It was about 6 min long, no stressfull questions. You will do OK

Our 341 went fine, smooth as could be, actually. I was in shock it was over so quickly. Lots of yes and no answers to the questions and we were done. I actually sat there at the table for a second or two once my husband and attorney got up. The trustee must have thought I was a nut.

When we first entered the waiting area, I was so self conscious thinking everyone was looking at me and judging me, then I remembered we were all there for the same reason and I felt a little better. Our hearing was at 3:00 and we were out on the street outside the courthouse with our attorney and her "I told you so's" by 3:15. I am so happy that part is over.
