    Ride-throughs on vehicles, state laws

There has been much discussion on the forum about ride-through vs. reaffirmation and how the rules vary by state/district (i.e. such and such state says they can't repo your car if you keep making payments even if you don't reaffirm). Anyone know where you can find this information?

You should be able to Goolge your state's repo laws fairly easily. Do you have an attorney? They could tell you what applies in your state. Even if you are pro se, set up some free attorney consults and ask them how it works in your state.

Thanks for your response. I do have an attorney. I'm probably just getting ahead of myself. Haven't asked yet, but prevailing wisdom seems to be to not re-affirm if at all possible. I think that's where I'm at. I'd prefer to be truly debt-free!

Absolutely!! If at all possible, do not reaffirm anything as in most states it is not necessary. But as always confirm with your lawyer
