Mods, Sticky for SCHEDULE J ?

There seem to be a lot of questions about Schedule J.

Can we start a Sticky thread for this Schedule, where people can post copies of their Schedule J, without their personal info, of course?

As I understand it, different states/districts allow slightly different items/amounts to be listed, however, these examples will still be very helpful to a lot of people.

You don't see stickies for any of the Means Test or Schedules precisely because of the tremendous variability between trustees, courts, and districts across the country. It would also be impossible to keep such a sticky current because case law decisions are changing court practices all the time.

Stripping off personal information from the forms is difficult unless the member has graphics editing programs - that's very doubtful.

Also whatever may be posted again could be completely wrong for any other individual member's bankruptcy forms.

I understand your desire to have stickies like this that are related to the bankruptcy filing forms. However, you won't see them because of their changing and variable nature - there's just too big a chance they will be misleading or cause members to make incorrect assumptions about what is allowed for their individual filing.
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.

I agree. There is so much discussion about my Trustee does this, my Trustee does some other thing, that the information would be confusing, as best. I think if people continue to ask specific questions, it may be more useful, but that's me.

We just had a discussion on the randomness, or not, of getting a Trustee selected for your case. Different districts have different procedures. We try to caveat everything now with some qualifier, like "most" districts, or "some" districts, but even that causes confusion.

Looks like this idea came up for consideration before.

I still feel even with all the caveats you mentioned, such a sticky would be helpful... but, c'est la vie.

Of course, those who have gone through the process are free to post their J's in a thread.

I'll bet a steak dinner even if there was a forum for every single trustee, I'd still be confusing.
