    Is this a no-no?

I plan to file in October but haven't hired a lawyer yet. I last used a cc in March for household items at Target. I'm 30 days past due on two cards, but current with the rest including the one I used in March.

I need to buy some summer clothes for my kids. I have a Kohl's card and a coupon for 30% plus $10 off if I pay with the card. I don't have a balance on it. With the discounts I can probably get what I need for about $50.

Can I use the Kohl's card to get the discount then come home and pay in full through my bank's BillPay? Or will it cause me trouble to use the card at all?

    Thank you!

The look back is generally 90 days. So I would not worry about it right now, just dont use the cards within 90 days of filing.

Thanks, Klesko. It seems like it would show I was just doing it to save money, but some of the "rules" don't make a lot of sense. I might just be paranoid but better safe than sorry, I guess.
