    Expense question~ can you "assume"

a cost for rent in the future on your expenses? I'm currently not paying "rent" since I'm not paying on the mortgage but that is a true expense I will have after the bk. If I make my expenses put me int he negatives without even including a cost for rent, can't that look really bad?

I want to know the answer to this EXACT question too.... ANYONE?
    waiting to file in july-august,
waiting for Chase to begin foreclosure,
waiting for cc's to begin lawsuits,
    just waiting (& "afraid")...

You list the mortgage amount, whether you are paying it or not.

yes, but will they accept that as part of expenses, i have heard that it varies by dsitrict rules.

If they dont accept it...then what about a negative budget with simply household expenses (cars, utlities, clothing, car repair, healthcare, etc)

I cannot fathom a negative budget without some amount for housing?? I think you are waiting a bit to file if my memory serves me right LOL!

We are not filing until 9/09 and I'm starting to make a list of questions for my Attorney & have decided I will email him my questions once a month beginning May 5th as I've already spoken with him twice this month.

If you have retained Attorney, might be a good idea for you too as there is So Many Variations in a Bankruptcy from State to State, State/District to State/District, if you get my drift. What might be allowed as an expense in the Eastern District of AR might not be allowed in the Western District of AR.

Could probably research on Pacer, but for me, my Brain is in overload with a Sick Husband and Sick Dog and I'm disabled. Anybody got any spare Xanax

Well, I'm in the Northern District of California, and in this district you put down your mortgage payment even if you are not caught up, as that is what your monthly obligation is. Just like you put down your car payment, PGE, water, trash, etc. even if you are late on them. I can't fathom that there would be a local rule that wouldn't allow you to put down what you are legally obliged to pay for either mortgage (per loan docs) or rent (per lease) and thus create a situation where you show positive monthly cash flow without paying your housing expenses. That cannot be correct.
