we got a refund for a little bit more then 6000 i called the lawyers office to ask which was the best way to send it to the trustee we were first told we could keep 500 and send the rest but i was not to sure about that so i called again and they kind of told me the same thing well after a couple of calls back somebody told me to call the trustee so i did and the women who answer the phone asked for the case # and told me i could keep the refund.Does anybody think that is right or should i call back were afraid that they wont close the case because we didnt turn in the refund.Can anybody tell me if that has happend to themand also the lady at the trustees office didnt ask the amount of the refund or to send copy of the tax return.

Did the Trustee tell you to keep $500 and send the rest of it to them or your atty say that? If the Trustee told you at the 341, make a copy of the check and send them everything minus $500 via certified mail of course. If your atty. told you I agree with JRScott, just sit on it and wait until the Trustee asks for it.
